The Tribal Business Conclave 2025 will bring together policymakers, corporate leaders, investors, and tribal entrepreneurs on November 12 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, in a landmark effort to strengthen India’s tribal enterprise ecosystem. The conclave coincides with the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, celebrating his enduring vision of self-reliance and empowerment.
Jointly organised by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, and Ministry of Culture, with coordination from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and FICCI, the event aims to expand market access, promote innovation, and create new investment pathways for tribal entrepreneurs across India.
Jharkhand at the Centre of the Conclave
Jharkhand, the heartland of India’s tribal heritage, is expected to play a major role at the conclave. Entrepreneurs, artisans, and cooperatives from the state will showcase how indigenous knowledge and enterprise can align with modern markets. Their success stories in sustainable crafts, agri-business, and forest-based products will highlight Jharkhand’s contribution to India’s inclusive growth story.
The conclave also reflects Birsa Munda’s ideals of dignity and self-determination, offering tribal youth from Jharkhand an opportunity to connect with investors, incubators, and policymakers shaping the future of social enterprise.
Roots to Rise: Turning Ideas into Impact
A special segment, “Roots to Rise,” will feature live pitching sessions where tribal innovators will present their ideas before investors and CSR heads. The event also includes CEO forums, panel discussions, and masterclasses on skill-building, sustainability, and policy reform for tribal businesses.
Dedicated Buyer-Seller Meets will connect producers directly with corporate procurement teams and government agencies, unlocking new markets for tribal cooperatives and startups.
Policy, Partnerships, and the Path Ahead
Beyond exhibitions and showcases, the conclave will work toward developing policy recommendations to strengthen the tribal enterprise ecosystem. Key focus areas include improving access to finance, promoting cooperative structures, and integrating tribal products into national and global value chains.
As India moves toward its Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, the Tribal Business Conclave 2025 stands as a tribute to Birsa Munda’s legacy, transforming traditional livelihoods into engines of innovation and economic growth. For Jharkhand, this represents both recognition and opportunity: a step toward empowering its tribal communities to lead India’s inclusive development journey.
