In a significant move to strengthen international trade and investment ties, the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) signed a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (INCHAM Hanoi) on Saturday. The agreement aims to foster long-term cooperation, promote bilateral trade, and encourage cultural exchange between Jharkhand and Vietnam.
A special delegation from FJCCI, currently on an international visit, arrived in Hanoi to explore business opportunities and enhance collaboration between the two regions. The MoU is expected to open global opportunities for entrepreneurs, particularly small and medium enterprises and startups, while paving the way for industrial investments.
FJCCI President Paresh Gattani expressed optimism about the development, noting that the agreement would strengthen Jharkhand’s trade ties with Vietnam and create new avenues for business growth. He was accompanied by key members of the Chamber, including General Secretary Aditya Malhotra, Joint Secretaries Navjot Alang and Vikas Vijayvargiya, Treasurer Rohit Agarwal, Executive Members Rohit Poddar and Shailesh Agarwal, and former President Pawan Sharma.
On behalf of INCHAM Hanoi, Chairman Navendu Kumar, Vice Chairman Chaitanya Reddy, and General Secretary Prabhjyot Sharma welcomed the partnership, calling it a progressive step towards enhancing India-Vietnam business relations.
Highlighting the strategic importance of the initiative, FJCCI General Secretary Aditya Malhotra said the MoU outlines collaborative efforts in areas such as trade fairs, investment summits, business delegations, technical cooperation, startup exchanges, and cultural programs. Navendu Kumar emphasized that the partnership marks a new chapter in bilateral cooperation, promising mutual growth in trade and culture.
Joint Secretaries Vikas Vijayvargiya and Navjot Alang added that the MoU provides Jharkhand entrepreneurs with a unique opportunity to compete on international platforms, reflecting the Chamber’s commitment to global cooperation and economic development.
This collaboration positions Jharkhand as an emerging player on the international business map, strengthening ties with Vietnam and potentially opening doors to a broader network of global trade partnerships.
