The Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) has unveiled an ambitious agenda for the new session, combining administrative expansion with a focused policy roadmap. Under the leadership of president Aditya Malhotra, the Chamber has formed 64 sub-committees to deepen engagement with stakeholders and drive sector-specific initiatives across Jharkhand.

Malhotra, chairing the second executive committee meeting at the Chamber Bhavan, thanked members for their trust and support during the recent election. He said the mandate represents “both an honour and a major responsibility” to strengthen dialogue and coordination between the business community and the government. “Our approach will be guided by collaboration, transparency, and proactive problem-solving,” he said.

Since the beginning of the current session, the Chamber has taken several initiatives that connect trade and governance. It has submitted objections to the proposed Municipal Path Tax Rules, facilitated a state-level meeting on agricultural markets chaired by the Agriculture Minister, and organized a law and order review with DGP Anurag Gupta and senior police officials to enhance business security. “These efforts will have long-term positive outcomes,” Malhotra added, emphasizing that support for MSMEs, promotion of local industries, and creation of an investor-friendly environment will remain top priorities.

Vice presidents Praveen Lohia and Ram Bangad, who led the sub-committee formation, said the move aims to ensure continuous engagement throughout the year. Regional vice presidents Vijay Anand Moonka, Amarjeet Singh Saluja, Sanjay Agrawal, and Ramesh Kumar called for a review of Jharkhand’s industrial policies. They urged the state to study neighbouring states’ models and include stakeholders in the policy-making process.

Members also raised key concerns including the revival of the State GST Advisory Committee, improvement in rail connectivity to Dumka, Pakur, and Sahebganj, and simplification of new coal sampling norms, which have caused inconvenience to coal traders. Responding to these issues, Malhotra assured members that the Chamber would take them up with the concerned departments.

Secretary General Rohit Agrawal announced that on October 16, a BSNL consumer camp will be held at the Chamber premises, urging business owners to take advantage of it. The meeting also honoured the newly elected executive committee members, with certificates presented by election committee officials Vikas Singh and Pawan Sharma. The Chamber also felicitated CA Association members and students who assisted during the election.

Reiterating the Chamber’s role as a bridge between trade and government, Malhotra said the FJCCI will continue to lead constructive dialogue and policy engagement to strengthen Jharkhand’s industrial and commercial ecosystem.
