Jharkhand Chamber, BIADA Officials Hold Talks on Investment Cooperation

A key interaction aimed at strengthening regional industrial cooperation was held on Friday at the Chamber Bhavan, where the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries met senior officials of the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA).

The BIADA delegation included Dhananjay Kumar, Deputy General Manager, Gaya Cluster, and Sunil Kumar, Area Manager (Investment Promotion). Discussions focused on exploring investment potential in both Bihar and Jharkhand, with an emphasis on policy support, infrastructure readiness, and investor facilitation.

Addressing the meeting, Dhananjay Kumar outlined the facilities and incentives being offered by BIADA to investors. He highlighted Bihar’s industrial policies, land availability, infrastructure development, and the state government’s incentive schemes designed to attract domestic and external investment.

Representatives of the Jharkhand Chamber, in turn, presented the state’s industrial landscape, pointing to policy-level support, subsidies, and infrastructure initiatives undertaken by the Jharkhand government to promote industrial growth. The Chamber also invited the BIADA delegation to encourage investors to explore opportunities in Jharkhand.

Chamber Vice President Praveen Lohia said Jharkhand’s industry-friendly policies, simplified procedures, and improving investment climate make the state increasingly attractive for businesses. He reiterated the Chamber’s commitment to supporting industrialists and investors to facilitate greater investment inflows.

Joint Secretary Rohit Poddar noted that Bihar and Jharkhand are geographically and economically complementary. He said enhanced industrial cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two states could open up better opportunities for investors and accelerate regional industrial development.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both sides agreeing to further strengthen coordination on investment promotion, industrial collaboration, and inter-state engagement. Several office-bearers and members of the Chamber, including Treasurer Anil Agarwal and former President Kishore Mantri, were present during the interaction.
